For quite some time now, I have been needing to get a universal laptop power adapter (charger)

This universal laptop power adapter from Vivkey is pretty unique among the others on the market. It actually automatically sets the proper output voltage depending on which tip you put on. It also comes with some of the tips most of the other adapters don't have; like the Lennovo Rectangular tip, The HP center pin Tip and the smaller blue one. It even has a USB port output to plug in USB devices.

I was at first a bit concerned about not being able to set the voltage myself. After playing around switching tips though and comparing to my known laptop adapters, I became confident in the output. Just make sure you use the proper tip and double check the voltage on either the chart in the manual or with a multimeter and compare it to you old adapter to make sure you are getting the output you need.

The tips themselves are much more robust than the others I have tested. The cheap tips on other adapters is a common complaint. These tips are keyed and have 3 large metal prongs which will hold solid.

I did test the short circuit protection by shorting out the adapter. It shut off immediately and then turned immediately back on when the short was removed. This is a good safety feature that helps protect the adapter itself and anything attached to it.

Overall I am quite happy with this adapter and think it is one of the better ones on the low end of the market. Definitely worth the price it goes for on amazon, seeing as how it is basically the same price as the others but better with more tips.
